The European Council officially announced that one of Rise for Climate’s demands would be respected. At the next European summit on 21 and 22 March 2019, the issue of climate change will be well addressed by the Member States. 
This is a first victory for the citizens who have mobilized en masse in recent months. 
Of course, we will be very attentive to the announcements of the Heads of State from whom we do not expect mere promises, but real commitments officially launching a just ecological transition.
This will not have been possible without the mobilization of citizens and the work of NGOs. The citizen lobby Rise For Climate intends to carry out the work of political interpellation and will not give up.
